Covid-19 Update

Your health and that of your family are our utmost priority during these unprecedented times.

We ask that you contact 1300HEALTH (13 43 25 84) for advice about testing for COVID-19 if you

  • Have arrived from interstate or overseas in the last 14 days or
  • Had close contact with someone who has arrived from interstate or overseas;
  • Are unwell with a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, shortness of breath or loss or smell or taste;
  • Have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
Appointments

It is important that we all limit social contact during the weeks and months ahead to avoid the chance of spreading COVID-19 and seasonal flu. Our College, RANZCOG has advised that we increase the frequency between visits and utilise telephone and telehealth visits as a replacement or, in addition to routine visits.

If you or any member of you family are unwell, please do not come for a routine appointment. Wherever possible please leave children at home and come by yourself for an appointment. Extended family members will be asked to wait downstairs as we all need to limit the number of people in the rooms to maintain social distancing.

If you develop cold / flu symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or fatigue) you should contact the office during office hours to postpone your appointment. You will need to be seen in an Emergency Department, Fever Clinic or by your GP to be tested for COVID-19.

We ask that you use the hand sanitiser provided on arrival, avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth, sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and maintain a 1.5m distance between others and staff wherever possible.

Working while pregnant

To minimise the spread of COVID-19 and the risk of potential contact while pregnant it is recommended that wherever possible you work from home and avoid public transport. Wherever possible, face-to-face meetings should be replaced by teleconferences. These measures will need to be discussed with your employer in accordance with Safe Work Australia guidelines.

Thank-you in advance for your cooperation and please don’t hesitate to contact our reception staff if you have any questions or concerns.
